The Journey of a Network Marketer - Part 11 | Momentum is Real
Momentum, in my own experience
Momentum is built through repetition of action. Positive action will yield positive momentum. I have noticed that over the past 2 weeks in this experiment, that the momentum of my actions has taken on a life of its own. Now, of course, this is no time to get relaxed.
I did take a day to celebrate my son's birthday, and no matter what it is we do... we need a day of rest and recharge. This particular day was a strong reminder to me why I have chosen network marketing with my chosen mastermind group. This day was amazing. It only encouraged me to build even more momentum.
The key, however, is to focus my efforts on the needs of others who share similar dreams and ambition and give them the skills to own their lives just as I am doing now. This is what makes network marketing such an amazing industry... when you are moving with a good team of leaders.
Just about 15 days or so, I began a campaign to attract marketers that may not be getting the results they believe that they should be getting. At first, I was a little unsure how to go about doing this. I consulted my mastermind group, it just clicked. The campaign started and I have began relationships with over 10 people... mind you, these are not leads, these are 10 actual people that are wanting to own their lives. Leads are leads, these are people. People that want more for their families and not have to punch the clock for someone else for the rest of their lives.
The momentum has continued to grow from the efforts taught to me by those that have been there, and have been living with a high level of success for many years. I didn't pay crazy amounts for hit-or-miss advertising, I just did what they taught me. Simple as that.
By this time, 6 months from now... a few of the people that I am working with will be on their own journey, and I will be right there with them to build and sustain their momentum! Now, that is exciting!
Being All In
There's only 2 ways you can be involved with network marketing:
Sitting and hoping it will just work, and waiting for the magic secret.
Being all in, and using the steps set forth by your mentor and mastermind group.
Let's face it, #1 just doesn't work! I tried it, a long time ago. Just doesn't work.
#2 - Being all in - What does that consist of? Well, let me put it to you this way...
Let's use the Chicago Cubs 2016 World Series team. You may or may not be a fan, however they are a very good example.
For many, many years; The Chicago Cubs were thought to be cursed. They hadn't won a World Series in over 100 years. They had some decent teams through some years and some not-so-good teams. They were the underdogs that many loved, and that others laughed at. They couldn't seem to get the formula down to put together a winning club.
Then, they hired Theo Epstein in 2011.He is ALL in. Now, of course the Cubs didn't just win the National Title in 2011, or 2012... no, he was all in because he put together his mastermind and went to work. The right coaches, drafting and trading for the right players. Hiring a competent GM and front office staff. He let his vision transfer to everyone in the Cubs organization. He made them BELIEVE they were going to win it all, and because he was and is ALL IN... in 2016, The Chicago Cubs won the World Series for the first time since 1908 and played in their first World Series since 1945.
Look at the timeline... the Cubs decided they wanted to be a winning program, from 2011 through 2016 , they built amazing momentum to carry them to the most cherished prize in Major League Baseball. 5 years - That is some momentum!
How do the Cubs related to Network Marketers, like me?
Well, first... we have to know what we want. We have to find the right mastermind group, we have to believe, and we have to take action to make our dreams become our reality. Probably the most important, in my opinion is BELIEF. For me to be all in, I had to believe that what I am doing is worth my time and that I am having fun doing it.
The momentum, is real. It is as real as the nose on my face.
Let me ask you, are you ready to go all in and create your own momentum with the help of a proven mastermind group in your network marketing efforts?
The first step is to take a look at where you are right now. If you are pulling some serious commissions, and building a team that is satisfactory to you, then you are good! I am proud of you! Way to go...
If you aren't getting the results with your MLM or your team... It's NOT your fault.
and is not filled with affiliate links of any kind.
This is the first of 5 steps towards you owning your life. No book I have ever read about network marketing and MLM has ever been so powerful and effective. As I have said many times, it was the turning point in my personal success story. Make it yours as well.
Create your momentum, build your world series team, and let's celebrate your success every day!
Why I chose to be a Network Marketing Sponsor and Mentor It's been a few days since I have posted on here, and with some good reason. I have been spending some quality time reaching out to my team, working with them and helping them move into their dreams.
I have also been talking with some brilliant prospects and clients that have shared their stories with me. I heard their pain when they were telling me about how they had been taken advantage of by greedy companies and sponsors, I mean recruiters with huge egos. I have heard stories of having to pay hundreds of dollars to join companies and spend even more for training and materials. That did it... I already knew I was a mentor and sponsor. Just hearing these stories brought out my true passion.
I'm just one person, and my mission is to find and help as many people that I can that have been through the bad side of MLM and Network Marketing. When I first started mentoring and sponsoring, I was a bit focused on myself. Makes sen…
I found myself at a point in my life that I had all but given up on network marketing and mlm. I had been in and out for the better part of 15 years, and the last company I was working with exploded right when I was starting to get it figured out. I was done with it. I was over the lies, the big hype, the constant push to sign up more distributors and just plain done with the whole industry, to be honest.
This brings us to the not-so distant past. I was sitting at my desk at work, just thinking about how I could get away from the corporate life and work for myself. I didn't want another MLM. I didn't want to get into some illegal pyramid scheme or some money game ponzi scheme that would ultimately be shut down by the FTC.
I was wracking my brain. Then I thought of something, as if the idea just appeared... I needed a mentor. One that ha…
Think and Grow Rich Lessons from Chapter 9: PersistenceThis chapter comes at no better than time than today for me, personally. Intensity of Desire"The ease with which lack of persistence may be conquered will depend entirely upon the intensity of one's desire." This is as true today as it was when it was written all those years ago by Mr. Hill. When we find ourselves hitting "speed bumps" in our efforts, they can often appear as enormous mountain ranges that block our view of the final prize. That is why we must write down, and keep our "WHY" in front of us at all times as we walk through the test of persistence that gauges whether or not we can "take it." These times, early in the journey are the times that separate the weak from the successful and when the desire is so strong that we have no choice but to carry on, then we have what it takes and will pass the test.
It's a Marathon, not a Sprint Mr. Hill goes on, later in the chapter, to s…
